John W. Robinson, Minister

John W. Robinson has ministered with the Forest Hill Church of Christ since July 4, 1981.

John was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.  He attended Johnson Bible College, (now Johnson University) near Knoxville, Tennessee.  He graduated from JBC in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Bible and preaching.  It was while attending JBC that he met Debbi Smith from Bedford, Indiana.  They married on July 4, 1971 and now have two adult sons and four grandchildren.

John has also had ministries in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana before coming to Forest Hill.  John realizes that a long ministry is dependent upon many factors, not the least of which is the support and help of a loving congregation.  God has indeed blessed us with this opportunity.

John writes, “Years ago Debbi and I both realized that we had lived here at Forest Hill longer than anywhere else in our lives.  This has become our home.  Our children and grandchildren live nearby so that we can enjoy our family times together.  Just as importantly, we are privileged to worship and serve our Lord with friends we hold dear.  This summer I am privileged to perform a wedding for the grandson of a couple whose wedding I performed six months after coming to Forest Hill.  It is indeed a privilege and honor to have ministered with these many generations of our church families.  And yes, there is still room for more in this loving family of God.”
